Hello there! If you are a Moozle Facebook fan then you will have already seen a couple of previews from Monday’s fun photo shoot with SCENERY girls Beth and Maude and their lovely wares. The SCENERY acessories perfectly compliment the amazing graffiti back drop with the bright pops of neon colour and striking geometric patchworks.

Photo credit to… me! I do love to get behind the lense and really enjoyed seeing the shoot come together just as I hoped it would, the kids do their own thing so I just have to capture it – there really is no directing these characters, it’s like herding kittens ๐Ÿ™‚ We managed to squeeze the entire setting-up/shoot/styling into just over 1 hour between school and after schools clubs – we know how to keep busy!!

Good news for SCENERY fans… they have a SALE on all of their graffitti range… get on over there – QUICK, look sharp!

TALK:craft interview

photo1-4.jpg

Hi, I was invited by Fish Indie to be interviewed for their TALK:craft feature, a behind the brand Q&A series they run with Etsy sellers, if you’d like to read about how I started the Moozleย  brand, my fashion background and a peak behind the scenes, you can read the whole piece here, but if not…here’s a few tasty bits…:)

“I studied for my fashion design degree in London and after that worked in-house with some great designers such as Vivienne Westwood and Tanya Sarne at Ghost (back in the early 90โ€™s when Ossie Clark would pop into the design studio with paint brushes holding up his top-knot).”

“I used to have a huge workspace, with 8 industrial sewing machines, a 15 foot pattern cutting table, 3 full time machinists, an office, a kitchenette and cloakroomโ€ฆ. Now I have a desk in the dining room!”

“Thatโ€™s the power of the internet, it has allowed people like myself to create our own way of earning a living. Just like in years gone by when women used to take in sewing jobs, repair work or laundry to pay the bills, Those women were entrepreneurs, but were just treated like maids really.
Now we are sewing things for people thousands of miles away instead of a few streets away. A cottage industry for the global village.”

Thank you FISH Indie! x

Shippy and Lulu

photo1-2.jpg

Aaaahhhhh, look at these guys! Introducing Shippy the fluffy, much loved toy rabbit and Lulu the super sweet looking daschund pet dog of my customers daughter, I hope she likes it, I’ve not heard back yet. The little girl loves Shippy and Lulu, tulips, teal blue and fresh greens with a pop of pink – what do your kids love the most? This design is onto a MIDI size base.

Wait until you see the new Moozle teepee design I’m working on, I hope to get it finished next week, not sure where I’ll photograph that one – it needs a special space. And there’s a fab new photoshoot planned on Monday for a different design, I’m busy making props for it at the moment, think tassle garlands with neon orange/pink/yellow and gold, neon body paint and pink flamingoes!… I can’t wait!

I am always on the look out for beautiful spaces to photograph my Moozle teepees in, if you are interested in sharing your space for a photoshoot in exchange for a plain teepee (size of your choice) please get in touch via the website here.

I am also working with some amazing kids stylists and interior designers accross the world via instagram, if you’d like to know more and possibly be involved (if I like your ig feed and you’d like a teepee in exchange for some fab photos with #moozle @katemoozle tags) then drop me an email with a link to your instagram.

Hello-ee I would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to Raspberry Baby Blog –ย “inspirational photography, interior design and great ideas โ€“ all for the sake of crafting a well-styled family.”

Thanks for the super blog post today ๐Ÿ™‚ Thought I’d share this (rather old now) photo, as used on the Raspberry baby blog, of me and the kids on our bakfiets bike. This bike is our family ride and essential for taking teepees to the post office, if you have a Moozle teepee chances are it has been on this bike!

Of course if you live in or near Amsterdam you could always come and pick up a teepee yourself, just like Karen did yesterday. If you would like to save the delivery fee and collect the tent in person please contact me via the Moozle website to arrange a day and time’

Hi Kate, I just wanted to say thanks for the great teepee! Lincoln loves it already, he has hardly been out of it since I set it up yesterday afternoon! ๐Ÿ™‚ Karen.
