Hello and welcome, thanks for stopping by. A little while ago I was contacted by the lovely Nina from the German blog Pinspiration who asked me to design a special teepee for her little boys room makeover.
You can see more images and read all about it (don’t forget to open it in Chrome to translate it to English if you don’t read German) here.
Aaaahhhhh, look at these guys! Introducing Shippy the fluffy, much loved toy rabbit and Lulu the super sweet looking daschund pet dog of my customers daughter, I hope she likes it, I’ve not heard back yet. The little girl loves Shippy and Lulu, tulips, teal blue and fresh greens with a pop of pink – what do your kids love the most? This design is onto a MIDI size base.
Wait until you see the new Moozle teepee design I’m working on, I hope to get it finished next week, not sure where I’ll photograph that one – it needs a special space. And there’s a fab new photoshoot planned on Monday for a different design, I’m busy making props for it at the moment, think tassle garlands with neon orange/pink/yellow and gold, neon body paint and pink flamingoes!… I can’t wait!
I am always on the look out for beautiful spaces to photograph my Moozle teepees in, if you are interested in sharing your space for a photoshoot in exchange for a plain teepee (size of your choice) please get in touch via the website here.
I am also working with some amazing kids stylists and interior designers accross the world via instagram, if you’d like to know more and possibly be involved (if I like your ig feed and you’d like a teepee in exchange for some fab photos with #moozle @katemoozle tags) then drop me an email with a link to your instagram.
Well, this is a Moozle teepee for a brother and sister play room, hence the 2 very differing designs, one on each side, the customer asked the front to be left plain, for a brown bear and toadstools on one of the sides for Alex and a Bavarian style window box with pink and orange flowers for Alessia on the opposite side.
This is appliqued onto a MIDI size teepee. This teepee is now on it’s way to West Hollywood… if you’d like to order something similar (or even something quite different!) please email me via the Moozle website or international orders can request a custom order via my Etsy shop.
Don’t forget you can see lots of past Moozle teepee designs for inspiration over on the Moozle Flickr pages. You can email me via the Moozle website with links to any Flickr designs you like and I can email you back with a quote, just let me know which size teepee you need and when you’d like delivery by.
There is currently a 2-3 week waiting list for bespoke orders – Please let me know if you have a birthday date to meet so I can prioritize orders. I always try my best to get your birthday gift to your child on time – but I have to know these things in advance so I can organize my time taking delivery times into consideration x.
ps. the eagle eyed amongst you will notice that SCENERY cushion on the sofa in the middle image above – extra points for spotting it!
Another busy week sewing has flown on by, I have been working on one particular bespoke teepee tent most of the week, I’ll post some snaps over the weekend (when I find some time and floor space to take them – between boxes of plain teepee stock and Dexter’s brio train track it’s difficult to know where to turn).
I’ve had some lovely customer comments recently that I love to share (show off) and a super photo that arrived this afternoon of a teepee I sent earlier this week – nice work postie! So here goes…
We are in love with this teepee! Best Christmas gift ever! And the personalization was just perfect. Thank you so much! Olivia, Oakland CA, USA.
Hi Kate, teepee has arrived, it’s amazing and I love it, kids will be super thrilled on their return from school, have attached a pic…..thanks so much for your hard work. Laura, Hove, UK
Just letting you know we love the tipi. It looks excellent. Beautiful item will shop here again. Deanna ,Winnipeg, Canada (BIG teepee).
This is a fantastic product. Fabulous quality and very fast shipping, given that it was a custom order placed during the holidays. Our grand-daughter loves it. (She calls it her “office.”) Thank you so much! Patricia, Chicago, USA (MIDI size teepee with name and felt heart).
Thank you Laura for the photo, I hope the kids had a nice surprise when they got home from school. This was a custom order MIDI teepee, I have plain teepees, MIDI and regular size in stock you can order one here for dispatch next week, custom designs do take a little longer and at the moment I have a 2-3 week waiting list, please contact me via the Moozle website if you’d like a quote.
I must mention the great massage I had last week with Tanya at Radiant Life Care, I was aching from sewing/sitting at my desk to long, my shoulders hadn’t really recovered from the work load at the end of last year. I’m going to make treatment from Tanya top of my list for keeping sane and healthy this year, what an experience meeting Tanya was, she actually reads your body as she works on you and gives lots of insight and advice, I recommend a visit if you need some positive energy and a massage (it’s more than that really, it’s body and soul therapy from a health goddess).
Take a look at my Instagram to see some of the designs I’ve been working on and also the super cute letter that Dolly sent to the tooth fairy last week.
If you are looking for one of my applique designs and you don’t see what you are looking for on the website (sorry, not many options listed right now as I am busy with custom birthday orders and working on new designs), please email me via the Moozle site to see if I can make a bespoke design for you.
The design above is onto a MIDI size teepee and is called ‘Into the woods we go’, it incorporates some gorgeous Osborne and Little fabric. This teepee was a custom order for a family in the UK.
Here are a couple more bunting commissions I made before Christmas, for the Lucy one the customer asked for mixed colours, not to girly and for Ajax, blue and red. If you have any bunting requests send me an email via the Moozle website, or check out my Etsy page.
A little show-and-tell here of some bunting orders in new colourways I’ve been working on this past week (in between teepees teepees teepees – it sure is hotting up for Christmas!). It was nice to work on something different for a change… back to the teepee production line now though! You can order bunting on Moozle here and Moozle teepees here.
Here’s a bright and sunny tent I’ve just finished to cheer up a rather wet day here in Amsterdam. Bright sunshine this morning soon turned back to heavy heavy rain… AGAIN! but we were thankful for the sunny start and not just so my photos look better. This play teepee tent is on it’s way to Indianapolis now. I hope you like it Elle. To order a teepee similar to this have a look at Moozle for EU orders and at Etsy for international orders. More photos on Flickr.
This is a new colourway of an old favourite, the original ‘vintage flowers‘ design teepee complete with tree (and I don’t make too many with one of those these days – they take too long to cut out and stitch on!!), but, I do love a new colourway and couldn’t resist seeing how this one would look when the customer requested ‘greens and browns’ for the design. This one is on it’s way to a Montessori home school room in Israel! It never ceases to amaze me where my tents end up, please PLEASE send me a photo of it in it’s new home?!
If you’d like to order one similar, send me a message via Moozle and I’ll see what I can do for you? You can also see some more pics of it, including details of the gorgeous vintage fabrics I’ve used on my Flickr page.
Of course I couldn’t keep Dexie out of it and he just ‘happened’ to be dressed in colours to match with his green top and new Doors t-shirt (a happy find at the car-boot sale a couple of weeks ago).
I finished this custom order for a play teepee with “blue flowers and red hearts” and wanted to photograph it quickly before packing, it is half term here so that ment a bit of bribery in the form of dress-up clothes followed by a trip to our new local ice-cream parlor Ijscuypje (via the post office of course). Little Dex had to endure being dressed up by big sis Dolly, hence his pink sequins, fairy wings and handbag, fortunately (or not, would have been cute I think) it was too hot for him to wear the outfit to the shop. The big cardboard play house was by product of our trip to Ikea last week…like we need any more play homes in this place!
The customer wanted matching bunting too, this isn’t a great shot of it, it has 10 flags in all with heart and flower ones either end but, doesn’t the room look pretty with all of the bunting still up from Dolly’s birthday last week? It went right to the other window, you can never have enough bunting. Fact.
A certain small boy who lives around here allowed me to photograph his teddy with this teepee I finished this morning – his hand is just out of shot sweeping in to grasp it back quickly! This play teepee tent was a custom order but you can order a similar one here, just state the name or word you would like on the notes section of the order form.
