If you have been following my Instagram or Facebook page you may have seen the new botanical leaves teepee design I finished this week for a special collaboration with Enstijl a Dutch interior stylist.
Sanne from Enstijl wanted to create a jungle themed bedroom for her son Bo and it just so happened that I have had a sketch of a botanical inspired teepee design in my book that I’ve been wanting to try so this was the perfect opportunity to see my idea take shape.
I always start my designs as sketches, then work on the paper/card templates. In this instance I set up a MIDI size teepee first to get the leaf proportions just right and pinned the cut out fabric leaves in place so I could see how it was working before I started sewing.I think little Bo is pretty happy with his new room. You can see the ‘before’ photos of his room here.
If you are interested in a similar teepee or would like to discuss a custom design of yor own you can get in touch here.
Follow my Instagram for more customer photos, new designs, behind the scenes and inspiration images.
This new member of the Moozle family is not just a sweet little play thing or pretty shelf accessory (and who doesn’t love to look at cute things on shelves?) but is also a truly resourceful fellow by cleverly using up the left over fabric scraps made by the Moozle BIG teepee tent. Excellent.
I asked the Moozle kids Dolly (age 9) and Dexie (age 5) to think of how they themselves would play with the new Tiny Teepee, here’s what they thought…
Hi, do you know Enstijl the Dutch interior blog and instagram account? They have over 30K followers on Instagram so maybe you are one of them, well they just reviewed our new MIDI size Pure White teepee, you can read all about (it’s in Dutch so get google translate ready!) who loves it the most here (is it the boy or the cat do you think?).
The MIDI size Pure White Moozle teepee can be found on our website here.
We are so happy to see the blossom and have lots of exciting projects on the go…including a BIG plan for the little dolls house in these photos. It’s part way through it’s make-over then it’s getting some very special items made to go inside it, more of this to come soon.
The teepee in the photographs is a new design with limited edition Laura Ashley Home fabric, only 4 of these have been made in the MIDI size so if it ticks your boxes you’d better grab one quickly here before they are gone forever!
The April in blossom photo is part of an on-going challenge I’ve given myself (lets see if I can last the year), you can see the other photos so far over on my instagram account.
Hello, hello! I am so pleased to be able to share these photos of a design collaboration between Moozle and SCENERY earlier this year. Launched today on the Moozle Etsy shop to coincide with Dutch Design Week.
These will be limited edition pieces so grab one whilst you can!
Hello, thanks for stopping by. People often ask me where I draw my inspiration from for my teepee appliques, the truth is it comes from everywhere, from things I see on the street to fashion and interiors I see on-line, here’s a little behind-the-scenes look into what triggered this teepee design I finished yesterday. I saw the above interiors image on Pinterest recently and loved the colour palette so much I wanted to use it in my work, utilising some of my folkart floral applique patterns and matching some of the fabrics from my stash I was able to create a similar palette. I opted for a paler pink in the end which I think works pretty well here and I just love the zesty Kelly green rabbit under the window.
More picture details over on my Etsy store. *This design is now sold but another little floral number in purples and greens has taken it’s place. However, you can still see more photos on the Moozle Flickr pages here.
Hello readers, thanks for stopping by. I took these photos earlier this week at the beautiful light filled apartment of photogarpher Barbara Iweins. I was so excited to be able to shoot the new Moozle stripe teepee in such a stylish setting… that brick wall sets the stripes off perfectly don’t you think?
The apartment in Amsterdam, near the Vondel park is actually for sale here, and if you’d like to see even more go here.

Helloeee, happy Sunday! I wanted to post some pics of the Black+White Shapes teepee I made a few months ago and only just pulled out of my stock cupboard to photograph (I’d almost forgotten I made it, it’s been sooooo long!). I still love all of the B+W kids rooms and artwork popping up all over Pinterest and Instagram, especailly the images by Chloe @chloeuberkid (bottom 2 images above). Chloe is a contributor at La Petite Mag so as you can imagine, she has great style, her house is full of amazing styling inspiration and top picks from some of the best designers and interior accessory innovators around, but if you can’t stretch to doing a whole room over, you could always satisfy your inner interior designer by making over your doll house!

I’m just going to sneak in this customer comment that came in on my Etsy review page this week #glowingwithpridehere
I cannot recommend this product strongly enough. We purchased a customized teepee for my son’s first birthday and it was of beautiful quality, exactly as requested, and will surely be an integral part of our family for many years to come! Rebecca, NH, USA

Well if you follow me on instagram you have probably seen more of my new designs lately than by following my blog! There’s not been much time recently for ANYTHING other than packing teepees so thought I’d squeeze in this up-date. Spaces for custom designed teepees, like this one, in time for Christmas are just about all booked up now. You are welcome to email me via the website with your enquiry.
Can I get away with this as a Hallowe’en post do you think? It’s not that scary!!
A little while ago I had the pleasure to work with Dutch photographer Maud Fontein on this really fun Moozle shoot that will be part of the new Moozle postcard set. The photos turned out really well, just like my story board, it was so great to work with Maud, we had an absolute blast – so much colour and confetti the kids had a ball.
This MIDI size Unicorn teepee is now up for sale on my Etsy shop, the gold cushion is by SCENERY, the white top that Dolly is wearing was designed and made by myself for the shoot.
*PLEASE ASK PERMISSION BEFORE USING MY PHOTOS. Thank you. You can contact me via the moozlehome.com website.
I have received a lovely new customer review today so I’ll share that here too 🙂 More on the Etsy page here.
This was our daughter’s 2nd birthday pressie which she loved the minute she set eyes on it! Kate was most responsive and made every effort to make sure the tent was customized to our specifications and also that it would ship early for our daughter’s birthday. The tent was relatively easy to put together. Although we have yet to perfect the way to stretch it out nicely. Kate was very helpful throughout and a joy to deal with! Thank you for this beautiful tent, Kate! Sharon, Singapore.
Hello, sorry for the lack of posts recently – I’ve been busy with orders, new designs and planning a new product! Very exciting, more on that soon I hope.
I wanted to share this interview that has just gone live that I did a while ago for Amsterdam Mamas, a fantastic website here in NL. You can see the full interview here.
I also have a lovely new customer review to show off…
Shipped super fast. I was nervous about figuring out how to put it together but the directions were well written, only took me a few minutes to set up. This teepee is so cute and very well made. Worth the price and my son loves it! Thanks!!
Many thanks Stephanie from Texas, USA for taking the time to review Moozle via Etsy, see more reviews here.
I managed to finish and photograph a new design on Tuesday this week (no mean feat), I listed it on my Etsy shop later that day and hey presto it was sold after a couple of hours, which is fantastic BUT, ment that not many of you lovely folk actually got to clap eyes on the thing… so here it is, you lucky, lucky people (yes, I have a dry sense of humor, not always detected in text).
How do I keep my kids busy whilst getting on with a few jobs after school hours? well I have a few tricks, one of which is chalk board pens (white wash pens), who needs a chalk board – not us! Looks so pretty when the sun shines through making patterns on the curtains and floor.
Hello, hello! I thought it was about time I did a little kids room up-date since that last one about a year ago on the Apartment therapy blog.
I’ve been so busy working on the Moozle teepees but I have finally registered the bunk bed design (I’ve had trouble with other companines stealing my images and dsigns and re-selling knock-off versions so I’m taking extra percautions) and so I’m finally showing them, soon to be listed on the Etsy shop – woohoo – sorry to all of you who have been waiting!!!
Bird with balloons design bunkbed tent from Moozle.
Some of our favourite story books here (especially the Jackie Morris Tell me a Dragon as she is based in our home county of Pembrokeshire). The little green and white guy sticking out of the bed caddy is an original Moozle plushy in Helen Rawliinson’s Shapes and Things fabric. Helen is a textile and lighting designer based in London (and a good friend of mine), check out her work, it’s lovely.
Some shout outs now to some lovely fellow Etsy designers I’ve purchased from in the past (I’m a fan of supporting small businesses and Etsy is a great place for finding beautiful handmade and vintage items).
Top left: Little Red Riding hood, this was a pdf pattern I bought for my mum – didn’t she do a great job of making her?
Well, this is a Moozle teepee for a brother and sister play room, hence the 2 very differing designs, one on each side, the customer asked the front to be left plain, for a brown bear and toadstools on one of the sides for Alex and a Bavarian style window box with pink and orange flowers for Alessia on the opposite side.
This is appliqued onto a MIDI size teepee. This teepee is now on it’s way to West Hollywood… if you’d like to order something similar (or even something quite different!) please email me via the Moozle website or international orders can request a custom order via my Etsy shop.
Don’t forget you can see lots of past Moozle teepee designs for inspiration over on the Moozle Flickr pages. You can email me via the Moozle website with links to any Flickr designs you like and I can email you back with a quote, just let me know which size teepee you need and when you’d like delivery by.
There is currently a 2-3 week waiting list for bespoke orders – Please let me know if you have a birthday date to meet so I can prioritize orders. I always try my best to get your birthday gift to your child on time – but I have to know these things in advance so I can organize my time taking delivery times into consideration x.
ps. the eagle eyed amongst you will notice that SCENERY cushion on the sofa in the middle image above – extra points for spotting it!
Coooeee! Just sneaking these on here whilst I have a mo, the real reason for the post though is to share some wonderful customer feedback I’ve just spotted – nearly made me cry (feeling a bit soppy today)!
I can not thank you enough for your time and talent you put into making this teepee. My daughters first birthday is next week and I cannot wait to see the look on her face when we set this up. I have had my eye on this item for 2 years and it’s a perfect addition for our growing family – we’ll be using this for years. Your customer service is hard to match, thank you so much for the quick delivery and clear directions! I will definitely spread the word on how amazing you and your shop is! Thanks again! Beth, MN, USA.
I’ll get back to my sewing machine now before my head swells so much I can’t fit though the door. Thanks though Beth, I really appreciate it x
The above Max teepee design is called ‘Hello my deer’ and you can order something similar by contacting me via the Moozle website or sending me an Etsy convo. The above design is on a regular sized teepee but could be applied to the larger MIDI size if you wish.
Well hello there, here’s a wee peek at the tent I finished last week (the one that took so long – those names were sooooo much fun to cut out and stitch on, ahem) but it was worth it I think 🙂 The design is based on a specific Schumacher wallpaper design the customer has used in the children’s bedroom – so nice!
I know what you really want to know though… what is that gorgeous geometric monochrome cushion peeping out from inside the teepee? I know… so gorgeous, it is a SCENERY cushion, remember I told you about them before? The label is the brain child of the amazingly talented textile designer Beth Oladipo who just happens to be the chosen designer of the very first Moozle printed teepee, so naturally we are HUGE fans of her label consisting of home wears and fashion accessories – just check out this link for the most amazing cushion you’ve seen for a while (I’m saving up for this beauty – oh yeah!).
If you are looking for one of my applique designs and you don’t see what you are looking for on the website (sorry, not many options listed right now as I am busy with custom birthday orders and working on new designs), please email me via the Moozle site to see if I can make a bespoke design for you.
The design above is onto a MIDI size teepee and is called ‘Into the woods we go’, it incorporates some gorgeous Osborne and Little fabric. This teepee was a custom order for a family in the UK.
Hello there, here’s a little peak of a work-in-progress pic, there is a lot of cutting out and sewing involved in many of my applique designs, some designs take hours and hours (days it seems) to complete, and not just the actual stitching but the placement of the fabrics and the colour balance is really important to me.
See more photos like this one on the Moozle Instagram account, want to tag us? #moozlehome @katemoozle
This photo is of a new colourway of one of my classic ‘Floral’ teepees, the customer requested ‘dusky pinks and corals’, here are a couple of photos of the finished tent.
and here’s that finished window box!
I am now taking orders for similar designs for delivery in the New Year… sorry, no time with current order levels to get more of these out in time for Xmas.
Join the Moozle Facebook page to be amongst the first to know when new designs are available, Xmas delivery times and more.
If are a quick you still have time to order a plain Moozle teepee tent in time for Xmas, 3 sizes available here.
Hello and sorry for the lack of new posts recently! It has been crazily busy with Christmas orders, which is great but… I just hope I can keep up the pace.
I wanted to show you these two new twists on previous designs, the ‘Birdie’ design above and the ‘Enchanted’ design below, here in pinks instead of peaches, nice to try out new colourways, keeps it fresh for me, that’s what I like.
This Autumn (until the rain started the week before last… wooo-hoo that storm!) has been beautiful with the crisp mornings, low sun and beautiful colours of the turning leaves (all of which have gone now of course), we were lucky enough to catch the last burst of all the Autumn beauty with a weekend in the Ardennes, fantastic to take some time out and just be in nature with the kids during their half term.
