Hello there, here’s a little peak of a work-in-progress pic, there is a lot of cutting out and sewing involved in many of my applique designs, some designs take hours and hours (days it seems) to complete, and not just the actual stitching but the placement of the fabrics and the colour balance is really important to me.

This photo is of a new colourway of one of my classic ‘Floral’ teepees, the customer requested ‘dusky pinks and corals’, here are a couple of photos of the finished tent.
and here’s that finished window box!
I am now taking orders for similar designs for delivery in the New Year… sorry, no time with current order levels to get more of these out in time for Xmas.
Join the Moozle Facebook page to be amongst the first to know when new designs are available, Xmas delivery times and more.
If are a quick you still have time to order a plain Moozle teepee tent in time for Xmas, 3 sizes available here.
Hello and sorry for the lack of new posts recently! It has been crazily busy with Christmas orders, which is great but… I just hope I can keep up the pace.
I wanted to show you these two new twists on previous designs, the ‘Birdie’ design above and the ‘Enchanted’ design below, here in pinks instead of peaches, nice to try out new colourways, keeps it fresh for me, that’s what I like.
This Autumn (until the rain started the week before last… wooo-hoo that storm!) has been beautiful with the crisp mornings, low sun and beautiful colours of the turning leaves (all of which have gone now of course), we were lucky enough to catch the last burst of all the Autumn beauty with a weekend in the Ardennes, fantastic to take some time out and just be in nature with the kids during their half term.
Thought I’d do a little show ‘n tell of this teepee tent I sent off to Jack last week, I’ve just added the option of the animal teepee with a name to my Etsy store, not sure I’ll keep it there for long though as I get so busy with orders coming up to Xmas that I have to turn some design options off – girls gotta get some sleep you know!
If you’d like to take a look at the the price and the shipping info hop on over here.
For an animal teepee without the option of adding a name you can also purchase straight from the Moozlehome webshop of course!
It’s a bit naughty really, showing you this, as the lovely customer hasn’t even seen it yet! Crickey, I hope she and Rex like it, it is my ‘Woodland Fox’ design, soft earthy soothing tones with a story book feel. There will be some wondrous adventures sparked off this one!
Here’s a sneaky preview of a bespoke design I have just finished – it looks so nice in real life as there are more textures in it than in my usual designs, silky satin, a silver lurex jacquard and a lovely soft plush velvet mixed in with my usual cottons and felt – super luxe!
It took a lot of sewing hours this one. Visit the website to see more kids teepee tent designs available from Moozle.
A little peak at a new teepee design just finished and sent this week, it is for twins in New Jersey – I really hope they love it, I was really pleased with the way it turned out, the colours are so bright and happy.
I also had some lovely new comments from some customers this week, I’d love to share with you…
I purchased this Teepee tent for my son’s birthday not thinking it would arrive on time and it did! Delivery was so fast and Kate was always in contact. My son loves it and never wants to come out! It easily fits both my kids. The quality and service are top notch. Thanks so much Kate for a unique gift. Beth, Ohio, USA.
Thanks so much for the teepee, my children love it! It’s a great feature in my son’s room! Marta, Ontario, Canada.
A big thank you to my lovely customers for taking the time to send me their comments – it really makes my day.
I’ve just listed this kids teepee tent design over on my Etsy page, the sun was out this morning so I put the tent up in the living room and these two crazies promptly moved in!
This tent is all ready to ship – snap it up while you can (I did manage to get them out of it eventually). It is the popular ‘vintage flowers’ design, with a lovely brown tree on the side with lots of pretty lilac and green leaves. The vintage roses fabric is original 1940’s and really rather special.
Here are a couple more bunting commissions I made before Christmas, for the Lucy one the customer asked for mixed colours, not to girly and for Ajax, blue and red. If you have any bunting requests send me an email via the Moozle website, or check out my Etsy page.
A little show-and-tell here of some bunting orders in new colourways I’ve been working on this past week (in between teepees teepees teepees – it sure is hotting up for Christmas!). It was nice to work on something different for a change… back to the teepee production line now though! You can order bunting on Moozle here and Moozle teepees here.
Personalised (or not!) cushions to either match your teepee or just your room decor – send me a message via Moozle if you have a theme or colour in mind. Sold without the pads so the postage is easier, many different sizes offered.
Here are some pics of a new design I have just finished, it is a one-off, not planning to repeat it, so grab it now if you like it. I can personalise it with a name on the other door if that tickles your fancy, just state the name you’d like on the notes/comments section of the order form. I’ve listed it on my Etsy page here. Gotta run, dinners in the oven… oooo multi-task me!
I’ve added a brand new colourway to the popular personalised teepee options – Fuschia pink with a pink felt heart, just state your colour preference (other options available on the website) and the name of your choice in the customer comments section of the order form. You can order via Moozle here. Or via Etsy here.
This is a new colourway of an old favourite, the original ‘vintage flowers‘ design teepee complete with tree (and I don’t make too many with one of those these days – they take too long to cut out and stitch on!!), but, I do love a new colourway and couldn’t resist seeing how this one would look when the customer requested ‘greens and browns’ for the design. This one is on it’s way to a Montessori home school room in Israel! It never ceases to amaze me where my tents end up, please PLEASE send me a photo of it in it’s new home?!
If you’d like to order one similar, send me a message via Moozle and I’ll see what I can do for you? You can also see some more pics of it, including details of the gorgeous vintage fabrics I’ve used on my Flickr page.
Of course I couldn’t keep Dexie out of it and he just ‘happened’ to be dressed in colours to match with his green top and new Doors t-shirt (a happy find at the car-boot sale a couple of weeks ago).
Two lovely new kids play teepee designs with lollipop flowers, all finished and ready to be snapped up on the Etsy page. The light was pretty bad when I took the photos yesterday (sorry about that) and the kids wanted to get in them so I had to put their tent up (in the background of the 2nd pic down on the left) just so I could photograph them, they are actually both snuggled up in the teepee tent but you can’t see them underneath all of the crochet blankets and teddies in there. I might have to take some better photos if I get time, the sun has been shining today! Spring is coming which is why I wanted to make these flowers grow! I hope you like them.
I finally finished Dexter’s cot bumper at the weekend, it has been hanging around my desk for a few weeks now waiting for me to find 20 minutes here, 20 minutes there in between sewing up the play teepees, and this is the result (sorry about the grainy photos, the light was fading), I hope the fox doesn’t scare Dexter, it doesn’t seem to.
The lion cushion is by my friend Helen Rawlinson, the tall fox is called Mr. Morris and was a birthday gift form my lovely friend the very talented graphic designer Anna Kortekass, the folk guitar is an Etsy find by June Craft and the very smart looking knitted teddy in the school uniform was a gift my friend and textile designer Rachael Howard found at a craft fair. You can check out some gorgeous pics of Rae’s inspiring home over on Helen‘s super blog here.
Well, Dolly (aged 4 and a half and a little bit more) got into bed on Sunday morning for a cuddle and announced that she was going to mop the floors and clean the windows to make the place look really pretty (which was a bit of a shock, but glad to know the thought was there, I must be rubbing off on her), anyways… for one reason or another (I blame the hail clouds obscuring the Spring-cleaning-sunshine and dampening our good intentions) we made these funny bunnies instead.
Ok, so I am pretty sure the bunting bug I caught last week is finally on it’s way out, I just couldn’t resist making this rather Dutch version for my friend’s new baby, I’m quite excited about giving it to her over coffee tomorrow morning. I can’t decide whether to list bunting on my Moozle and Etsy sites or not, maybe I’ll just make some special buntings to go with special teepee tents – you’d better email and hassle me if you want some!
The cat print is by Ingela P Arrhenius and the rabbit with the mustache is by Andrew Bannecker you can see these plus some other illustrative delights over on my Pinterest illustration board, there are some real gems on there so go and check it out.
I seem to have caught some kind of bunting bug this week – here’s some I made with some over runs of the printed teepee tent panels – would go great with the puddle grey teepee – if only they weren’t all sold out at the moment – doh!
The fab 1960’s wooden jigsaw puzzle board is for sale on Moozle here. The lovely boy and girl illustrations in the bottom left picture were gifts from my very talented friend, British illustrator Tracy Worral.
This new teepee tent design is up on the website to order, you can request custom colours to match your decor if you like, just email your request via moozlehome.com and I’ll see what I can do for you. If you are wondering, that’s Mary Poppins on the tv in the background.
