Hello, hello, thanks for stopping by. If you are familiar with my Moozle applique work, you’ll know I am very inspired by street art, folk art and printed textiles and often use infulences in my work so I was very exctied to spy some lovely urban art works on a trip to London last week. I don’t know any of the artists but if anyone can shed some light please drop me a line so I can add some credits.
Most of these were spotted around Brick lane, Columbia Road and Stoke Newington all in East London.
NO, the matching outfits weren’t planned… but did make us laugh as we left the house. We stayed at my friend, designer Helen Rawlinson‘s lovely house in N16, she does Airbnb so you can stay too if you are lucky.
We did an impromptu mini shoot on the way home from school today just because our outfits with our new Mon Petit Zoreol bead necklaces were a good excuse to use the backdrop of fresh new graffiti I spotted the other day! Well, when I say ‘we’ (Dexie is in the cargo bike just out of shot) I had to bribe Miss Dolly (it is a bit chilly and obviously we needed to take our coats off!) into doing the pics, I was only allowed to take pics of her if she could take some of me AND apparently the cost of a 6 minish mini shoot with Miss Doll-face is 2 packets of Frozen stickers 🙂 Done deal.
Bead necklaces available here – thanks Mon Petit Zoreol, we LOVE them x
Oh. My. Goodness. The kids and I had such a great time yesterday afternoon with photographer Maud Fontein at her studio in De Pijp. We shot a new Moozle teepee design that called for something special… and it certainly all came together 🙂
I am so excited to share the results with you but for now here’s a few pics I took on my i-phone whilest we were getting the balloons for the shoot and then on our way home.
We cycled across the Amstel with the balloons trailing behind and the sun streaming though them – I wish I had a photo of that!
We had so much fun we couldn’t sleep last night, way too much visual stimulation 🙂
It was great to work with Maud, I highly reccommend her if you are looking to do a kids/family shoot and hope we get to do lots of more work together in the future.
Hello there! If you are a Moozle Facebook fan then you will have already seen a couple of previews from Monday’s fun photo shoot with SCENERY girls Beth and Maude and their lovely wares. The SCENERY acessories perfectly compliment the amazing graffiti back drop with the bright pops of neon colour and striking geometric patchworks.
Photo credit to… me! I do love to get behind the lense and really enjoyed seeing the shoot come together just as I hoped it would, the kids do their own thing so I just have to capture it – there really is no directing these characters, it’s like herding kittens 🙂 We managed to squeeze the entire setting-up/shoot/styling into just over 1 hour between school and after schools clubs – we know how to keep busy!!
Good news for SCENERY fans… they have a SALE on all of their graffitti range… get on over there – QUICK, look sharp!
