Hello and thanks for visiting 🙂 It’s cherry blossom time here in Amsterdam, I’ve been wanting to make blossom crowns for weeks, waited patiently for the trees at the back of our house to bloom…then had a week of rain and hail showers just when the flowers were peaking, very disappointing, but yesterday the sun shone long enough to dry out the petals, a good job too as they have faded somewhat and are starting to be blown off the branches. I like to think of these pictures as my lasting memories and celebration of their beauty, not to mention the youth and innocence of my children (one of whom may not appreciate the pink flowers in his hair in years to come), but for now they just revel in the ‘blossom party’ as they call it.
I guess I was inspired by mother natures blossoms and just had to make my own (inferior) paper flower garland this afternoon, I used some pre-cut craft flowers and traced around some onto paint colour swatches from the DIY shop to create the pastel coloured ones, I drew the leaves and leaf sprigs freehand and used paper butterfly studs in the centers. I then draped a piece of cotton canvas around the top of the teepee and cut it into a semi-circle curve to glue-gun my paper flowers to, I trimmed back the excess canvas when I had finished arranging and glueing.
I think I might try a version with bigger flowers next…in felt so they are less temporary.
This teepee is the MIDI size plain cotton kids teepee tent available on the website here.
We are so happy to see the blossom and have lots of exciting projects on the go…including a BIG plan for the little dolls house in these photos. It’s part way through it’s make-over then it’s getting some very special items made to go inside it, more of this to come soon.
The teepee in the photographs is a new design with limited edition Laura Ashley Home fabric, only 4 of these have been made in the MIDI size so if it ticks your boxes you’d better grab one quickly here before they are gone forever!
The April in blossom photo is part of an on-going challenge I’ve given myself (lets see if I can last the year), you can see the other photos so far over on my instagram account.
Hello…here are a couple of photos I took of the kids in a Moozle MIDI teepee, we were very kindly allowed to set up camp for a while in the beautiful Upton Castle grounds, in my home county of Pembrokeshire West Wales last week. If you get a chance to visit ever you really must it is gorgeous, we were lucky to catch the bluebells still out, wild garlic and lots of Spring in the air! All the new leaves looked so fresh and lovely, it was dreamy, take a peak here…
Many thanks to Danielle for posting this photo of your Moozle teepee on your instagram feed. You can can see more photos and follow Danielle on instagram here.

Dolly in the tulip fields on Good Friday, loving life in Holland.
We finally got a fallen branch from our local park to adorn with our Easter decs, the kids love doing things like this, little Dex and Doll-face were up on the table like a shot putting everything onto one branch, you just gotta go with it!
It does look really nice (now) and all Spring like, and pastel fresh… so whenever you’re ready sunshine, come on out now, don’t be shy!
The pretty eggs are from Hema, and doesn’t Meg (the lovely Donna Wilson plate on the wall) look sweet peeping out from between the branches?
