Hello and welcome, I’ve been busy behind the scenes here at Moozle with lots of custom order teepees, Spring workshop ideas and a charity project that is close to my heart (see this post) to name but a few things that have filled up my time, so I thought I’d make a little blog post to show-n’-tell just some of the busy-ness…and boy has it been pink! It’s been a good year for blossom so far.
The kids and I made the beautiful pressed flower eggs, pictured above, it was very simple to do as we had previously pressed some Spring blooms (about 10 days before), we just thinly brushed some PVA glue onto the eggs and then you carefully lay the flower on and lightly brush more of the clear drying glue over the top (tip: brush lightly in one direction only), if you don’t fancy blowing the eggs first, just hard boil them, they won’t keep for as long but they are pretty for a ‘quick’ fix, lovely for decorating an easter table or mantle. I’d like to make more as Easter decs for next year, best to buy white eggs of course, then I will blow them so they are hollow + light (and will keep longer, until one of us manages to smash it accidentally of course) and fix a hanging ribbon inside to hang from an indoor branch display. I should have pressed more snowdrops and cherry blossom!
Pretty food featured quite regularly these past 4 weeks, also with a floral theme as I got carried away making deserts (mainly vegan) with edible flowers basically just because I wanted to eat photograph them! #instagrammademedoit. In a way Instagram makes me more motivated to get my craft on 😉 my family are starting to learn patience…they know to wait whilst their pudding is photographed before eating it. That’s normal right? Right?!
Those freezer, no-bake raspberry and pistachio slices (bottom photo) are seriously delish. It’s very simple to make, no bake! Just whizz together in a food processor the following…
2 cups of pitted dates (not dried) OR 1.5 cups of medjool dates.
2/3 cup melted coconut oil.
1/3 cup of nut butter ( I like to mix peanut butter and tahini ).
2 tablespoons of date syrup (you can swap this for any syrup you have, maple, agave nectar, coconut syrup, or regular honey if you aren’t doing a vegan thing).
2/3 cup of cacao powder.
Then spread the mixture into a baking tray (mine is approx 7×10 inches) make sure your greese (I use the oil left in the bowl from melting the coconut oil) AND also line the tray with baking paper.
Then, press in a couple of hand fulls of toasted pistachio nuts into the mix.
Lastly press in the frozen raspberries, as many as you like (I use 1/2 a cup) into the top and pop it in the freezer. after about 20 mins, you can take it out, cut into slices or squares and store in a box in the freezer.
Evening all. A VERY quick (the sofa is beckoning) post about this lovely new Map print teepee before they are all sold and this is old news. Only 3 left now! Not sure if I can get hold of more fabric any time soon so grab one whilst you can here… they are causing quite a stir so not expecting them to hang around for long. *Amendment… only 2 left now!!
Above is obviously how I styled it for the listing photos for my Etsy shop… but want to see what the kids did when they got home… ooooh.
Hahaha. Check out Dexies Autumn display in the foreground!
Spring is in the air here in Amsterdam so it’s high time I started taking pictures again now the dark days are behind us, for a while at least (scared to speak too soon!). I spent a lovely day this week at the residence of accessory and home wares label SCENERY. They have such a fun and colourful home – more of that to show you soon, but for now, here’s a peak into the lovely room of the SCENERY kids.
The idea behind these photos was to create an editorial style image incorporating some of the lovely designers and brands I have connected with recently on Instagram, all Dutch or French made products and many of the items made right here in Amsterdam.
Below is a little round-up, click the links to go to the product page or webshop for each item. All products are hand selected and approved by myself for quality, relevance and absolute gorgeousness!

Teepee – Reg size plain teepee with poles/floor mat/flags/window/tie by Moozle.
Yes you read that correctly! Win a BIG Moozle teepee over on instagram… go to @eeflillemor on instagram, find the photo above and follow the rules to enter.
Eef, or Eva, bought a BIG teepee from me a while ago now and she always takes such beautifully styled photos with it that I really didn’t mind at all when she suggested giving one away to her fans to celebrate reaching 50K followers – go Eva!
A little while ago I had the pleasure to work with Dutch photographer Maud Fontein on this really fun Moozle shoot that will be part of the new Moozle postcard set. The photos turned out really well, just like my story board, it was so great to work with Maud, we had an absolute blast – so much colour and confetti the kids had a ball.
This MIDI size Unicorn teepee is now up for sale on my Etsy shop, the gold cushion is by SCENERY, the white top that Dolly is wearing was designed and made by myself for the shoot.
*PLEASE ASK PERMISSION BEFORE USING MY PHOTOS. Thank you. You can contact me via the moozlehome.com website.
I have received a lovely new customer review today so I’ll share that here too 🙂 More on the Etsy page here.
This was our daughter’s 2nd birthday pressie which she loved the minute she set eyes on it! Kate was most responsive and made every effort to make sure the tent was customized to our specifications and also that it would ship early for our daughter’s birthday. The tent was relatively easy to put together. Although we have yet to perfect the way to stretch it out nicely. Kate was very helpful throughout and a joy to deal with! Thank you for this beautiful tent, Kate! Sharon, Singapore.
I’ve just listed this kids teepee tent design over on my Etsy page, the sun was out this morning so I put the tent up in the living room and these two crazies promptly moved in!
This tent is all ready to ship – snap it up while you can (I did manage to get them out of it eventually). It is the popular ‘vintage flowers’ design, with a lovely brown tree on the side with lots of pretty lilac and green leaves. The vintage roses fabric is original 1940’s and really rather special.
Here’s a pic of the vintage Animals teepee tent I’ve been working on this week, the customer wanted some coordinating bunting to go with it saying GIRAFFES. You’ll have to have to check out the Flickr page to see the pics of Dexie looking non to happy about being told he couldn’t take his milk into the tent, poor chap!
I added the baby elephant since Mumba was born at Atris Zoo here in Amsterdam, last summer.
New colour choices for names on your kids play teepee coming soon! These tents will be available with the name of your choice on my Etsy page in the New Year. Lots more colour choices available – just send me a message if you have a request via moozlehome
Just a quickie to show you the toadstool tent with added grass! I like it better this way, will have to do another shoot now! Except this one is on it’s way to Australia so I will need to find time to make another in between making and packing Christmas orders… I hope they like it, I’m sure it will look great at the Little Red Riding Hood party – wish I was going!
Huge thanks today to the lovely Cynthia for allowing me (and my assistant/model Dexter) to take up a chunk of her day and use her stylish home as the location to shoot not one but two tents! Cynthia is a super slick interiors designer and renovation manager specialising in bathrooms and kitchens, it’s a shame I didn’t photograph the tents in her beautiful bathroom, but the bedrooms were pretty lovely too!
Beautiful boys room, taken from Modern Handmade Child photo by Yoko Inoue. There is a great ‘get the look’ article relating to this image on the hmc.com link above… it features a Moozlehome teepee tent !
