Botanical Bedroom / Jungle Fever

Hello and welcome to the Kids Teepee Tent blog.

If you have been following my Instagram or Facebook page you may have seen the new botanical leaves teepee design I finished this week for a special collaboration with Enstijl a Dutch interior stylist.

Sanne from Enstijl wanted to create a jungle themed bedroom for her son Bo and it just so happened that I have had a sketch of a botanical inspired teepee design in my book that I’ve been wanting to try so this was the perfect opportunity to see my idea take shape.

I always start my designs as sketches, then work on the paper/card templates. In this instance I set up a MIDI size teepee first to get the leaf proportions just right and pinned the cut out fabric leaves in place so I could see how it was working before I started sewing.I think little Bo is pretty happy with his new room. You can see the ‘before’ photos of his room here.

If you are interested in a similar teepee or would like to discuss a custom design of yor own you can get in touch here.

Follow my Instagram for more customer photos, new designs, behind the scenes and inspiration images.

Midsummer Magic

We were lucky enough to spend a wonderful few days at our favouite nature campsite in Overijssel recently. You have to make the most of school study days (inset days) and long summer evenings right?

Of course I took a BIG Moozle teepee for sunset golden hour photos, who wouldn’t?!!! Really though, a little bit more effort equates to a lot of magical memories in the memory bank.

You can get your own Big Moozle teepee here. Happy camping x

Map it out

Evening all. A VERY quick (the sofa is beckoning) post about this lovely new Map print teepee before they are all sold and this is old news. Only 3 left now! Not sure if I can get hold of more fabric any time soon so grab one whilst you can here… they are causing quite a stir so not expecting them to hang around for long. *Amendment… only 2 left now!!

Above is obviously how I styled it for the listing photos for my Etsy shop… but want to see what the kids did when they got home… ooooh.

Customer photo…

What a lovely happy photo! Elle looks so pleased with her custom made Moozle teepee, thank you Jessica for sending this to me and allowing me to share it on the blog here, and you really do deserve to feel like a ‘Super Aunt’, this is what childhood memories should look like.

This design was ordered via Moozlehome and is vintage flowers in orange, with a name, you can order one similar with this link, just state the name you require and the flower colour of your choice in the customer comments section of the order form.

Cynthia’s house

Huge thanks today to the lovely Cynthia for allowing me (and my assistant/model Dexter) to take up a chunk of her day and use her stylish home as the location to shoot not one but two tents! Cynthia is a super slick interiors designer and renovation manager specialising in bathrooms and kitchens, it’s a shame I didn’t photograph the tents in her beautiful bathroom, but the bedrooms were pretty lovely too!

Toadstool-tastic

This new teepee tent design is up on the site now and I like how the photos came out (on such a dull rainy Amsterdam day too) and Nora’s cute room was the perfect location, thanks Nora!Β  All those super props to use, and so in theme. You can see the rest of the photos here Flickr.

Order your tent here Moozle.

Poppy’s room

Lots of fun was had this afternoon snapping the new Animal teepee and a plain one in lovely Poppy’s pretty room. It was a challenge to get some shots of the tents without one or 3 of the four kids in or around the tents but I think the results are pretty good! To see the ‘other’ photos complete with kids playing madly go to the Flickr page (spot the pic of moody Dolly and Poppy fed-up with being told they can play in the tent in “a minute”!). Listed on the Moozlehome Etsy page and for sale on moozlehome – go get yours! The gorgeous wooden enchanted tree is from Cocoon Couture in Melbourne – I WANT one… joy ohjoy it’s on sale (but still $250 Aussie dollars!) but, alas, they don’t ship outside Australia *sob*
